The Astrobiology Society of Britain is hosting an STFC-supported Summer School for new PhD students with an interest in Astrobiology. The School will be hosted by the UK Centre for Astrobiology at the University of Edinburgh.
The Summer School is aimed at STFC-funded postgraduate students who will be beginning their PhD studies in the autumn of 2018. A programme of talks and workshops will give an overview of astrobiology and astrobiology-related research in the UK.
Students will receive introductory talks in a wide range of topics and workshops in outreach, academic skills and some scientific techniques relevant to astrobiology.
This course is free of charge to STFC-sponsored and self-supporting students, but students in later years or supported by other funding agencies are also welcome to apply.
