The 2016 AbGradE (Astrobiology Graduates in Europe) Symposium 2016 will be held directly before EANA 2016 in Athens between 25th-27th September.

AbGradE is an independent association with the main goal of promoting scientific networking among early-career astrobiologists. It was initiated by EANA and it is managed by an enthusiastic group of PhD students and post-docs that are responsible for organising activities that foster networking as well as give a broader background in the different disciplines that Astrobiology comprises. A bi-annual symposium based in Europe is the main gathering for this purpose. In the years between the two symposia, AbGradE organises a one-day workshop in line with EANA’s topic. Everyone is welcome to join and participate in AbGradE!

More information will be available in the near future. See
http://www.eana-net.eu/AbGradE/about.html for details and future announcements.

  1. Interesting, but I suppose not really for an old person who has been studying Astrobiology and Astronomy online for a few years?

    • These meetings tend to aim topics at a PhD level or higher. However, having said that, the interdisciplinary nature of astrobiology conferences can often (though not always) mean that talks are pitched to a non-specialist level, so it might be worth contacting the organisers to get their opinion.
