The Astrobiology Society of Britain (ASB), in collaboration with the Open University, is proud to announce the opening of nominations for the Barrie Jones Award to celebrate those who have made an excellent contribution to outreach and/or the teaching of Astrobiology, in memory of Prof. Barrie W. Jones who was a keen communicator of astrobiology. We wish to solicit nominations for the award.
Once the recipient of the award has been selected by a committee comprising members of the ASB and staff from the Open University, they will be invited to give a public lecture held at the Open University. That lecture will be live streamed to reach an international audience, and will be recorded for posterity, to be hosted on the ASB website.
Should you wish to nominate someone as a worthy recipient of the Barrie Jones Award, please simply e-mail your nomination (including the name, affiliation and reason for nomination) to info@astrobiologysociety.org. Nominations will close on Friday 26 April 2019.
