The Building Habitable Worlds IV event will be held on 2 March, 2018 at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory (MSSL), Surrey.
This annual one-day meeting provides an opportunity for networking and expressing views on the future direction of astrobiology research in the UK. The meeting this year will have a theme of space instrumentation, to provide the community with an insight into the life cycle of instrument development, from proposal to delivery. A morning session will give participants the chance to introduce their research in a quick-fire presentation round, followed by talks on instrumentation. The afternoon session will involve an instrument proposal workshop and discussions.
MSSL is in a remote part of the Surrey countryside, so transport on the day will be provided to and from Guildford Station (30-minute drive from the site). Preliminary times for pick up and drop-off will be 9:00 and 18:00. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Places are limited so register early to secure your place. The event is open to all, but preference will be given to early-career astrobiologists.
Building Habitable Worlds is generously supported by the Astrobiology Society of Britain and the UK Centre for Astrobiology, allowing registration for the event to be free of charge.
