The third AbGradE symposium will be held on 22-24 September 2018 in Berlin, Germany.
AbGradE will organise its next symposium in Berlin. The time and place are perfect this year as two other planetary science and astrobiology conferences will also take place in Berlin, with EPSC at the Technical University Berlin the week before, and EANA starting right after our symposium at the Free University Berlin. The symposium will have the same format as previous AbGradE symposia, with a mixture of keynote lectures, student and early-career scientist talks, as well as a poster session. This meeting will give early-career scientists the chance to get a taste of the scientific world and to present their work in front of a familiar audience. Of course, there will be some great accompanying social events too (ice breaker, a sightseeing tour and a conference dinner).
This year, we will ask our keynote speakers to adjust their talks according to the attendee’s abstracts and will structure the different sessions around the abstracts submitted. Hence, you will decide this year’s AbGradE topics. Please feel free to submit an abstract about your current work, which could be part of your Master or PhD thesis as well as a post-doc project.
This year, we will award again a large number of student and early-career travel grants, together with EANA. If you also plan to attend EANA, don’t forget to apply for an EANA 2018 travel grant.

- Travel Grant Submission Deadline: 1st of July (you are only eligible for a grant if you have an oral or poster contribution)
As soon as you registered for the symposium, you will receive an Email with instructions for the abstract submission and how to pay the registration fee of 35€ via bank transfer. Your registration will be confirmed as soon as the registration fee is paid.
